For two thousand years, the stonemasons of Carrara have been quarrying the world's purest marble from the Apuan Alps. The mountains above the town are white as snow, not just in winter, but all year round – because of the exposed rock, which is so bright it looks like an eternal glacier from a distance. Michelangelo, Augustus, Canova: they all came to Carrara because nowhere else offered this white.

Carrara carries this white in the Garza Grossa – and the open silk weave does something amazing with it: it makes it three-dimensional. Depending on the light, the tie appears sometimes brilliant white, sometimes almost silver, sometimes slightly transparent. A white with character. 100% pure silk, 7-fold, entirely handmade, hand-rolled edges, open tip. Made in Italy.

Fully Handmade means: every single step, by hand. Cutting, folding, stitching, bar tack, tipping – everything by skilled hands in traditional craftsmanship.
