This is how your exclusive, individually made-to-measure suit is created!

We invest far more than just time, patience and extensive expertise in the production of your exclusive bespoke suit - we bring our passion for the highest level of tailoring. The process begins with a detailed conversation in which we get to know your individual wishes and ideas in detail. In a consultation that is characterized by openness, honesty and genuine enthusiasm, we invite you to choose from a selection of exquisite fabrics and exclusive designs over an espresso or a fine whiskey. You design your bespoke suit exactly as you imagine it. If you are unsure, we are on hand to provide you with well-founded recommendations and stylish advice.

Once you have decided on the perfect fabric and the ideal design, we will measure you precisely from head to toe to achieve a result that meets the highest standards. As soon as your suit is finished and has arrived with us, we will arrange an appointment for the first fitting. Here, too, we will take the time to examine the result together and, if necessary, make final adjustments - until your tailor-made suit not only fits perfectly, but exceeds your expectations of luxury and style.

Fused canvas, half canvas and full canvas: the differences and advantages

A high-quality tailored suit is more than just a piece of clothing - it is a statement. At Christian Weilert, we attach great importance to the quality and workmanship of our suits. Here we explain the differences between fused canvas, half canvas and full canvas and why a full canvas finish is the best choice for your bespoke suit:

Fused canvas

Fused canvas, also known as bonded interlining, is the most cost-effective method of suit construction. The interlining is glued to the outer fabric using a textile adhesive. Although this method offers fast and inexpensive production, it does have some disadvantages:

Low flexibility: The suit adapts less well to the body shape and can appear stiff.

Less breathability: The adhesive can impair the breathability of the fabric, which can make it uncomfortable to wear.

Reduced durability: Over time, the adhesive can loosen, leading to unsightly blisters and a shortened service life of the suit.

Half Canvas

Half canvas is a mixture of glued and sewn interlining. The interlining extends from the shoulders to the center of the suit. This method offers a better fit and durability than fused canvas:

Better fit: The suit adapts better to the body shape and offers more freedom of movement.

Improved breathability: The sewn-in insert allows the suit to breathe better and makes it more comfortable to wear.

Longer durability: The stitched interlining ensures a longer service life for the suit.

Full Canvas

Full canvas is the highest quality method of suit construction. The entire interlining is sewn from the shoulders to the hem of the suit. This method offers numerous advantages:

Perfect fit: The suit adapts perfectly to the body shape and offers maximum comfort.

Outstanding breathability: The sewn insert allows excellent air circulation, which makes the suit particularly comfortable to wear.

Maximum durability: A full canvas suit is extremely durable and retains its shape and structure for many years.

Why a full canvas tailored suit?

A tailored suit with a full canvas finish is the best choice for anyone who values quality, comfort and durability. At Christian Weilert, we use only the best materials and craftsmanship techniques to ensure that your suit not only looks good, but also feels great and lasts a long time.
