The ancient Etruscan town of Bolsena sits on the edge of the largest volcanic lake in Europe, overlooking the crystal blue waters and mysterious islands that can be found there. This design features iconic monuments of the small towns around the lake, many of which hosted historical figures and important events, both spiritual and historical. Capodimonte, the Castello dei Monaldeschi, the ruins of San Giovanni, the Isola Bisentina and other beautiful places are depicted in bright colors, surrounded by patterns inspired by artwork from the region. Bolsena is a bright design that can be easily paired with many menswear looks while adding drama and flair.
This work was drawn entirely by hand with pen and ink on paper before being digitally rendered and colored.
