3D knitting, made in Italy.
Instead of cutting fabric and sewing it together, our Italian production partners knit your garment as a complete piece on the machine. They use Whole Garment technology, patented by Shima Seiki.
Stoll and Shima Seiki flat knitting machines produce each piece automatically to your measurements. No seams, no cutting waste, no compromise on fit.

How does made-to-measure knitwear differ from ready-to-wear?
Your body measurements are entered directly into the knitting program. Each piece is made to your proportions, so you don't have to compromise on sleeve length, body length or shoulder width.
What is seamless 3D knitting, or Whole Garment?
Whole Garment technology knits a complete, seamless garment in a single process. There is no cutting or sewing, and no seams. The result is greater comfort and better shape retention.
Which yarn should I choose?
Merino wool and cotton work well for everyday wear. Wool/cashmere and S160 Merino hold their shape and have a refined look for business occasions. Cashmere and cashmere/silk are our most luxurious choices for special occasions.
How long does made-to-measure knitwear take?
Delivery takes 6–8 weeks from your consultation. If you need it sooner, please ask. We'll check which express options are available.
Which styles can be made to measure?
We offer over 20 styles, including crew neck, V-neck, turtleneck, mock neck, polo, half zip, full zip, cardigan, hoodie and half button. You can also choose less conventional pieces such as leisure trousers or a bomber jacket.
Where is the knitwear made?
All our knitwear is made by our production partners in Italy, Europe's center for fine 3D flat knitting. Made in Italy brings together quality, craftsmanship and decades of experience.
How much does made-to-measure knitwear cost at Christian Weilert?
Made-to-measure knitwear starts at €259.00 in Merino wool. The price varies with the yarn and style; cashmere/silk pieces start at €509.00. Your measuring appointment is included in every price.
Can I add a monogram?
Yes. We can knit your monogram or initials directly into the garment. You can also add contrast details at the collar, cuffs or zipper.
