Bologna has had a nickname for centuries: La Rossa – the Red One. Not because of a revolution or a flag, but because of its roofs, its towers, its arcades of fired brick, which keep the city in a tone that seems to glow in the evening light. This red is not a loud red. It is old, saturated, confident.
La Rossa wears precisely this tone as a broad diagonal stripe, interrupted by the warm cream of the facades below. The classic regimental stripe – and yet something different, because the material changes it: cotton and silk together give the red a tactile quality, a ماتteness, which elevates it from the showy to the sartorial. The 7-fold construction folds the fabric seven times without an interlining. Hand-rolled edges, untipped. Handcrafted in Italy.
