This is how your exclusive, individually tailored suit is created!

We invest far more than just time, patience, and comprehensive expertise in the production of your exclusive tailor-made suit—we also bring our passion for the highest level of tailoring to the table.

The process begins with a detailed consultation, during which we get to know your individual wishes and ideas in detail. We value openness, honesty, and genuine enthusiasm in order to design your new favorite piece.

Together, we will design your tailor-made suit according to your specifications. If you are unsure, we will be happy to assist you with expert recommendations and stylish advice.

Once you have decided on the perfect fabric and the ideal design, we will take precise measurements from head to toe to achieve a result that meets the highest standards. As soon as your suit is finished and has arrived at our premises, we will arrange an appointment for the first fitting. Here, too, we take the time to examine the result together and, if necessary, make final adjustments—until your tailor-made suit not only fits perfectly, but exceeds your expectations of luxury and style.

The differences and advantages

A high-quality custom suit is more than just a piece of clothing—it is a statement. At Christian Weilert, we place great importance on the quality and workmanship of our suits. Here we explain the differences between fused canvas, half canvas, and full canvas, and why full canvas construction is the best choice for your custom suit:

Fused canvas

Fused canvas, also known as glued interlining, is the most cost-effective method of suit construction. Here, the interlining is glued to the outer fabric using a textile adhesive. Although this method offers fast and inexpensive production, it has a number of disadvantages and is not used by us:

Low flexibility: The suit does not adapt well to the body shape and can appear stiff.

Less breathability: The adhesive can impair the breathability of the fabric. The result: discomfort when wearing, especially on warm days.

Reduced durability: Over time, the adhesive may come loose, resulting in unsightly bubbles and a shorter lifespan for the suit.

Half canvas

Half canvas is a mixture of fused and stitched interlining. The interlining extends from the shoulders to the middle of the suit. This method offers a better fit and durability than fused canvas:

Better fit: The suit fits the body shape better and offers greater freedom of movement.

Improved breathability: The stitched insert allows the suit to breathe better and offers a more comfortable fit.

Longer durability: The sewn-in insert ensures a longer service life for the suit.

Full canvas

Full canvas is the highest quality method of suit construction and is used as standard in our Sartorial Line suits. This involves sewing the entire interlining from the shoulders to the hem of the suit. This method offers numerous advantages:

Perfect fit: The suit adapts perfectly to the body shape and offers maximum comfort.

Excellent breathability: The stitched insert allows for excellent air circulation, making the suit particularly comfortable to wear.

Maximum durability: A full canvas suit is extremely durable and retains its shape and structure for many years.

Why choose a full canvas tailor-made suit?

A custom-made suit with full canvas construction is the best choice for anyone who values quality, comfort, and durability. At Maßkonfektion Christian Weilert, we use only the finest materials and craftsmanship to ensure that your suit not only looks good, but also feels great and lasts a long time.
